Zipas Stadium shows a new professional athletic track

Thanks to the joint management of National Institution, COLDEPORTES, Cundinamarca and Mayoralty of Zipaquira, who arranged both financial resources and all means necessary for the construction of the new athletics track in Zipaquirá.

It is a major sporting project, which has had a pre-feasibility study and that has meant having a new facility at the highest professional level, the track will serve to train athletes in Zipaquirá, performing skills, approval marks, and for the city to become an epicenter of training high performance athletes from both home and abroad.

This work has been executed by AGORASPORT holistically and has an area of 5.500sqm with synthetic sandwich system consisting of an elastic foundation placed in situ reduction of the impact based SBR granules bound with polyurethane binder, a layer leveling waterproof monolithic high wear resistance, and a surface of granules of EPDM with additional coating. It has also been equipped with all fixed equipment, and has a perimeter jogging lane conditioning synthetic turf for heating zones.

The track features Class 2 certification IAAF (International Federation).
