Alcaniz already has a running track approved for competitions

Running track premiered at the municipal sports complex of Santa Maria in Alcaniz (Teruel).

A track with a lot of demand in the area since in the same train Athletics Club Tragamillas and from some time ago had been requesting this action. The result has been spectacular and the track will soon be certified as Class 1 by the IAAF. The track is approved as a “unique facility” to have a football field with artificial grass inside. This means that they can do all kinds of comparable championships (running and jumping) except launches competitions in three disciplines: javelin, discus and hammer.

The installed floor is a sandwich system Polytan brand with certification of the IAAF.

The City Council have already said they are very satisfied because they have done a significant demand for athletes Alcaniz. Now you can practice athletics better and the city will host first-level tests, which will also benefit other sectors.
